SOFT & WARM WOOL-LIKE MATERIAL

SEAWOOL

Seawool is made from yarn formed from crushed oyster shells mixed with recycled PET pellets. The result is a soft, sturdy wool-like material that is warm and durable. It is moisture-wicking, antimicrobial, and anti-static, as well as heat regulating.

  • The result is a soft, thick, and sturdy material that is warm and durable. It is moisture-wicking, antimicrobial, odor-resistant, and anti-static, as well as heat regulating. This is a fabric that, like natural wool, can do it all.

  • The oysters used in Seawool are sourced from either sustainable oyster farms or from the food industry. There are currently four million tons of disused oyster shells worldwide; although they are biodegradable, they do not degrade quickly, meaning that they take up significant space if not upcycled in some way. It is the pulverized oyster shells that create the wool-like, fiborous feel to the fabric.
